The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.
Lao Tzu
First of all, let me start by saying thank you. The fact that you took time out of your busy life to read what we have to share here means the world to us. We have a long road ahead of us, and we know we cannot do it alone. So thank you for coming beside us on this journey.
We have always been drifters. Not in the sense that we have no plan or no clue of what we want in our lives. Instead, in the sense that we are constantly restless and looking for change. Between the two of us since when we first met over a decade ago, we have: lived in eight different places, held six different jobs, and visited five different countries. We definitely live by the “home is where the heart is” philosophy. It is why we believe as long as we are together we can make any place home, even one on wheels!
We got the idea in our minds a few months ago about living life on the road. It took us a bit to find and realize we wanted to go the fifth wheel route. Living through the pandemic has shown us a few things. We can effectively homeschool our kids (more on that later). We can effectively work from home when allowed. We absolutely love being around each other all the time. Since we already knew we love exploring new places, it just made sense to start putting our plan into motion.
We know there is a lot that needs to happen between now and when we finally embark. We have a lot to learn and many pieces to put into place. It is a little overwhelming, but it is also overwhelmingly exciting and we cannot wait to get out there.
We would love it if you would say hello below in the comments so that we can get to know everyone!
